Today My gtx 950 broke so I got an offer to get a gtx 960 instead of another 950 as none was in stock. And I'm wondering if my i5 2400 and gtx 960 ssc 2gb would be able to run some new games like battlefield 1 and gta v. I'm planning to play these on medium and high . And I'm planing to get a i5 4690k in a few months would this be an future upgrade worth it ?

Thank you

Well I've got a 960 paired with an i5-4460, and it plays every game at medium-high settings with absolutely no frame drops and it is so smooth. Definitely worth the upgrade.

It also depends on your screen resolution. is your screen 1080p (1920x1080) or lower or higher?

Definitely i5 4690k is upgrade from 2400, since you can even overclock it (depends on mainboard type). 2gb is not much, I recommend the 4 GB 960 (had it, worked great, now replaced it by 1060 6GB as I needed 1060 for Battlefield 4 max settings 80 fps 1080p). About BF1, it needs a good CPU. i5 2400 will probably get you only 25 on medium (keep in mind, minimum system requirements state i5 6600K...)

With i5 4690K and 960 2GB you should (most probably) be able to play BF1 on at least 30 fps on medium on 1920x1080.
