So I got a $400 gift card to Best Buy on Christmas, but I'm conflicted with what I should get. I don't have a PC yet and am looking to buy parts. I plan on buying a Ryzen in Spring or Summer. I've been looking at a ton of stuff on their website and I really want to get either an EVGA GTX 1070 or parts like the power supply, case, and memory. I don't plan on buying a mobo or ram yet as I don't know whether to get DDR3 or 4 and I don't know what will be best compatible for Ryzen. I plan to overclock and I really want to run 4K while having still having upgradability. Should I get the 1070, the other parts, or do any of you have any better ideas that can help me make a decision. Thanks for the help!

Save up for now and then see what happens, do remember that VEGA is still in the works so it might be worth waiting to see how that does, aswell as ryzen

Yeah, I'm not buying a whole system with $400. I'm buying parts overtime. I plan on spending about $1,500 overall. The EVGA 1070 is $407 on Amazon and BestBuy price matches it. I have actual money, I just got a $400 gift card that can't be exchanged for cash. IDK if the Vega is gonna be good or not, but you're right. I should really wait.

Save untill you can afford everything. It may come out new better tech untill summer, you never know.

One thing though, you should defenetivly go with DDR4, there is no smart reason at all to buy DDR3 if you will have support for DDR4 as prices are relativly similar now.
