So I have recently bought the following items:

Focusrite Scarlett 6i6

bunch of other cables

hd650

And I'm currently having a problem where quite often the mic while go extremely loud and provide a lot of static and feedback

does anyone know of a fix for this?

Well, find out wheere in the chain it's coming from. Is there any way a feedback loop could occur with your current set up? Is there something wrong with your settings or with your interface?

Like it's as if you said to a mechanic "My car won't start, is there a fix for this".

The main problem is that it only randomly occurs so I cant pin point exactly where it is coming from

Ill show some pictures and maybe you can see something that i cant

The mic cable is on the left in the first picture and the right is the hd650s

In the third one the red is the usb, orange the spdif in from my xbone, and the black is the power cable

Also, a good thing to check first is if your volume knob on the mic input is set too high, or is the pad button/switch is activcated.

just simple little things that can mess things up pretty quick

From what i can tell its nothing to do with gain nob or pad as i dont have it on at the moment and everytime i move the gain nob when it is happening nothing changes

Drivers are up to date. The whole setup is only a week old

Idk dude, it kinda sounds like you got a faulty piece of equipment or something.

Something brand new really shouldn't be having this type of problem.

I'd try try talking to the manufacturer.
