New cpu or gpu

I have 500 dollars to spend and i am wondering if i should upgrade my 970 to 1070 or i5 to i7.

Id get a 1070 for sure. And mor RAM to 16GB

If you primarily use your PC for gaming a 1070 would be a good choice.

1070, unless you like to do alot of cpu rendering/folding/mining
