Hello,

So my laptop broke down and I did a bit of research. To buy a decent laptop, I'd need at least 1k euros, so I thought that I could maybe build a PC. I looked at some threads to get a general idea of what's good and what's bad and here's the list that I came up with:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Ph62R   (Sorry, I don't know how to make a list of all the parts like everyone does here)

Now the total that I have to pay for all that is 1.7k EUR in my country (Latvia). I used a local internet store to pick out all the parts (www.1a.lv if anyone's interested).

Do you guys have any suggestions on which parts should be swapped? Also, maybe you could advise me a better option where to get parts, I checked amazon.co.uk, but the prices are pretty much the same as in the internet store that I mentioned, plus I'd have to pay for shipping.

Thank you in advance for any input.

You could probably squeeze in a 1070 if you got a cheaper keyboard for the mean time and upgraded it later.. Just a suggestion though.

Otherwise I would say the build looks great!

So since you guys advised to get a GTX1070, I threw in a 1440p display as well and I'll get a decent keyboard later. I'm trying to keep to a black and white style here :)

Okay lets start :) Your build is nearly exactly what I'm building at the moment so I've done tons of research!
First of all it's good to make yourself clear what you're playing. For the money of your monitor (280€ on an Amazon offer) I got an Asus G277HU which is 1440p and 27", that is just awesome for Witcher for example or other RPGs. But I also play a lot of Battlefield and 60fps is enough for me. But you'll need a stronger GPU such as the EVGA GTX 1070 FTW which I have myself and its awesome.

But the list deXxterlab97 mentioned is great like that! For future "safety" you could change to the new i5-7600K and a Z270 chipset motherboard like the MSI Z270 PC Mate/ SLI PLUS which offers cool features for later upgrades I would say and isn't that much of a more cost. Also its black/white which goes well with your color choices.

For the CPU cooler I have the Alpenföhn Matterhorn White edition I don't know if its available at your location but its nice bright white!

PS: Damn those parts are cheap in America :D

It definitely is!

Have a look at the NZXT S340 ELITE White, its beautiful and has tempered glass (100€ in Germany). Maybe throw that in if you find a cheaper monitor or something like that!

I personally have the MSI gaming 3x krait motherboard, I think it looks very nice and I got it for a steal, not sure what it would cost where you are though..

Basically its the same as the SLI PLUS but witch a different color scheme, so if you want to save 10-20$ and like the simple look of the SLI PLUS, go for it. The Krait Gaming is on my wishlist as well ^^

Here I come with yet another update. I didn't look at the I5-7600k first, but it turns out it's only like 10 eur more expensive than the I5-6600k. Thank you guys for all this input in such a short amount of time :)
