Hi,

 

It's my first custom build and after calculating from many PSU calculator online. I am thinking to buy Corsair RM650x PSU. Please help me if there are other better option available or RM650x will be a good choice with below config.

Mastercase 5 (With top cover purchased separately)

Asus Z170-A

Core i5 6600k

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming

Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) 3200

NZXT Kraken X61

NZXT Hue+

Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SSD

Intel 2.5" SSD Hard Disk Pro 5400s Series (Adding 1 More)

650 is probably the sweet spot for your build. Highly recommended.

You should be just fine with that PSU. Beautiful one at that. Fully modular and plenty of wattage for your build. GPU's are incredibly powerful yet power efficient nowadays. Wasn't the case just 3-4 years ago. I had to buy a 700W PSU running a similar setup (except the 4 year old equivalent of your parts, 3570k, GIGABYTE GTXX 770 Windforce OC edition, double 8 pin connectors on those, yipes) to guarentee some headroom for overclocking.

That's then years of warranty, half a freaking generation that is. Might be able to hand it down to any future child if you're in luck :)

There's a good change you can find an RM750x for the same price so don't hesitate to pull the trigger on that
