Hello, I've been looking for a powerful 15 inch laptop below 1500 euro. The best I've found is the Asus UX501VW, also known as the ZenBook Pro. It seems like a relatively powerful machine with the 6700HQ and 960M, yet I am hesitant to make a purchase, mainly because I envy the 10 series GPUs. Are there any newer alternatives?

The first one is too thick for my liking, and the MSI laptop is actually very expensive where I live. I am probably being too needy, might just have to stick with the ZenBook Pro.

It's 1in thick. If that's unacceptable, then Zenbook Pro and XPS15 are your only options. Also Dell Outlet is a good place to find good and cheap XPS15s (so is Ebay refurb). Good ebay sellers with good rep are excellent choices for refurbs because they all come with Dell warranty and you can either return it to the seller or Dell.
