Can anyone help me out here. Im interesting in this more so for the streaming content, but is there any way to build a system that can handle the same streaming, media, and librarys with minor access to gaming for less than the 299 USD? 

 

Some background of my application. I have a 60" 4k tv w/HDR.

Honestly it looks like a bunch of people got sent an old presentation by mistake or something. The Shield has supported HDR 4k streaming since almost a year ago. The only real news in there is that it'll be getting Google Assistant which is cool, but it's Android and gets frequent updates so there's no reason it wouldn't get Google Assistant.

I just ordered a Mi Box, it's super cool and I'm using it for a purpose that I can't actually say here due to it being against Community Standards. 

Hardware is identical to the old version. Just a software update.
