HDD Cloning

Alright boys, you know the drill.

I need full info and guide on cloning an HDD in a laptop onto an SSHD. I know it's the same and all but I need this for my uncle.

He is going to install the old drive into an enclosure and install the new sshd into the laptop

All he needs to do is head to the BIOS, set the enclosure as the primary boot option, and use a program to clone the drive and then set the native SSHD as the boot option?

Confirm with me on this just so I don't kill his drive (P.S. He doesn't know I do this, the forums, I mean)

Nvm, misread.

Just clone first, then install. Probably less of a headache, especially if the enclosure needs drivers.

I think you need to clone BEFORE it before installing the SSHD and making that the primary boot. The way you said it means there's no Windows to boot into.
