Alright, I know I am going to get ridicule for this... BUT I gotta ask to see if I can get some help.

I have 2 MSI R9 390 cards, and 2 Dell P2213 monitors. Now, I run both monitors DVI into one card. Taking use of crossfire.

What I would love to do us take use of the displayport. But there is only one port for each monitor. So I was hoping is there a way that I can use each card to each monitor, both running DP.

Is that even possible??? I mean the crossfire isn't a huge deal, and I've not seen that much of performance change. Any pointers, or ideas? If it can't work. I've tried reddit, but got no reply. So here I am coming to a group of people I've been meaning to come to for a while.

For those monitors there won't be any difference between DVI and DisplayPort anyway, so I don't think there's much point.

So is it possible in general? I plan to upgrade the monitors in the near future since it is obvious these monitors are a little outdated.

Yes you can run one monitor from each card if you want to, you don't need to use the same card. You may not be able to use CrossFire if you do this though, I don't know.

Yeah I know I'll lose the crossfire support. But I've not been able to get it to work. So I am now thinking, it maybe the monitors being outdated? I just know that these cards have 1 DP, 1 hdmi, 2 DVI. So either I use the DP, or HDMI from each card.

Thanks a lot really. Searching hours, and days for something because the hardware is a little specific it is hard to find exact answers sometimes.
