Is this safe? It got up to 87 while playing league of legends. I have a normal intel fan

85 is the highest I would ever want to go, I would look at something else the 212 evo is a popular choice nowadays, although im not even sure how you reached those temps on a game such as leauge. I mean I don't play it personally but from what I hear it's not hard to run.....

However this could just be the CPU spiking, but 80+is still high.

Its fine if it doesnt go above 90.

If it reaches 87 playing LoL, you have bigger problems. Either in airflow or the application of the heatsink.

did you remove dust ? is airflow ok ? if you change ventirad but airflow is bad it won't help
