No, unplug HDD and install the SSD. The windows installer will let you set up partitions on the SSD.
Once windows is installed, plug your HDD back in, back up data you want to keep, then format the drive using windows disk management. (win10: right click on start button -> computer management -> disk management.
Make sure you have copied over anything you want to keep from the HDD before following through on the formatting in disk management.
