l have tested it with watchdogs 2

that's not how you test overclocks properly.

get a piece of software that taxes the piece of hardware you're overclocking, as in a CPU benchmark, GPU benchmark, etc.

Agreed.  Gaming by itself is FAR from a good way to determine stability.  Too much inconsistency on top of the fact that it usually doesn't load the CPU as much as needed to ensure the OC is good.

still better than some of the raspberry pi OC folks:

"look, it boots into the terminal for 10 seconds, i successfully overclocked it to 3.8GHz."

I don't know if you've been perusing through the CPU threads, but we have the equivalent type crap going on in the PC world.

but the pc folks would be worried if their pc locks up literally 10 seconds after clicking the "apply" button.

we're talking a level of instability where the pc equivalent would lock up in the bios.

Good point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all about showing off, but I'm of the belief that people don't believe you until you adequately demonstrate your overclock so I show the work produced by the processor post overclock.  A lot of people posting in the CPU section just hope you'll believe and want to be the winner of an unofficial silicon race.  :D
