Can I have the specs of your pc to see if you need a 80+ certified psu?

CPU: i5 3570k 4.2 GHz GPU:PNY GTX 660ti CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 plus 2x Akasa fans Ram: Crucial 8gb Motherboard: Asrock z77 Pro 4 PSU: Thermaltake tough power 2 650w Storage: 1tb Seagate Barricuda, 128gb Samsung 840 SSD

I think it'll be fine,your system would pull maybe slightly more than 50% at full load.

77 - max power consumption 3570K

164 - max power consumption 660 ti

add around 50 watts for everything else,almost never actually uses 50 watts.

so your system should be somewhere between 291-325 watts at full load.and I say 291-325 because it's my rough est. - 50% of psu rating.I highly doubt it would be higher than even 55%

and most TR2's are atleast some 80+ rating.

the older one was 80+ with an 85% rating which is equal to 80+ silver if I'm not mistaken

Right now I have a 650w psu should I move down to 600w and get a 80 plus power supply
