Need help fast (CPU/Mainboard)

Hello guys,

My friend needs help.

He has to decide on a mainboard to go with with his i5 6600 non k.

It should be under 150€ (less is better)

He needs it for gaming 

He just wants a good mainboard but he has no idea what to pick.

he has to decide which one to pick in the next hour so any help would be appreciated

Any H110 or B150.

Get one that matches his color sheme. I'd maybe get a Z170 with that budget for future upgrade to a 7700K

Nope. Most skylake boards use DDR4. I think all Z170s do as well.

Ok so the problem is he has a good gpu (970) and his other components are good as well but someone told him to get an AMD processor and its fucks his whole shit up when playing arma3 thats why he wants a new cpu and motherboard. 

He cant upgrade his whole pc because his RAM is fine what other choices do we have ?

You can get a generation older and get something like a intel core i5 4690

is that good enough for cpu intensive games ? And how long would it last him ?

He doesnt want to spend 400€ and do it next year again because he bought something that is hardcore outdated

It's well enough for games, and it's not THAT outdated like a FX series processor.

doesnt need to look good it should support ddr3 ram and the  i5 4690 and his gtx970 and the normal stuff.
