Freesync with hdmi

Hello, I'm going to get a Viewsonic vx 2757 freesync monitor with an rx480 gpu.

The thing is that he monitor only includes a hdmi cable, not a display port. Does anyone know if I can use freesync with the hdmi cable? And if it does, will it be at 60hz or the full 75hz?

FreeSync and G-Sync both work only over DisplayPort, because Adaptive-Sync is part of DP 1.2a standard and is not supported on HDMI.

That being said, FreeSync over HDMI has to be specially supported by the monitor and I can't find any information about this monitor it, so I assume it probably only works over DisplayPort.
