He's got a GTX 660 and he's looking for a new GPU.

His monitor is 1440x900 and he wants to get atleast a second monitor of unknown resolution.

What GPU would be good for this? I'm personally thinking a GTX 1070 would be a good choice. because my younger brother uses one with two monitors. One is 1920x1080 and the other is older 900 x 600 or something along those lines I think.

1070 is a GPU for 1440p and 4K. I can run dual monitors on a laptop with an e1-2500

Rest of the specs? It may be better to spend $230 on an 8GB RX 480, $120 on a used CPU and $50 on a PSU upgrade rather then $400 for a GTX 1070

What CPU does he have? A weak CPU will limit his performance no matter how powerful the GPU is.

If you dont know then let's assume its along the lines of an fx6300 or older core i3. Then your best bet is probably a rx 470.

Not online with him at the moment, but let's just say it's a halfway decent quad core because we play Planetside 2 and if you know anything about that game is that it's very CPU heavy.

If its an Intel quad core you can go as high as a RX 480 or GTX 1060 although that might be a little overkill for the resolution he's playing at.
