The cpu cable by itself doesn't actually fit in the single motherboard header due to wrong shapes ,have tried multiple directions and knlynone side fits the onlynthing I have found that fits is thatbdual header that came with the PSU but only problem is in not sure if it is safe for me to use that if I am not using both cables so a little confused here as to why it won't fit

the standard cpu4pin shud fit in the cpu8pin , but only one side of it ,

but you have an 8pin there , but its split so it can be used on a board that only has a 4pin

what you have to do w/ that cable of yours is hold it together and insert it so the tab goes over the one side that has a latch for the tab to grip on

It the two 4 pins that go together to form a 8 pin doesn't fit the shapes for them don't match what is in the cpu pin socket the only one that fits is the splitter that has two 8 pins and a 8 pin connection but I'm not sure if it is safe to use that splitter because i am thinking it has to plug into two 8 pin I have said this

If you look on the imgur link and look at the two left aide images (that is what it is for me) they don't don't match where as the two right side is the adapter but it has two 8 pin sides that go I to the motherboard

Sorry using my phone not ivuae I meant "I have"

if the adapter is just a cpu 4 pin to cpu 8 pin adapter it will work fine , not a fan of molex adapters

seems to be the only way to do it then

I'm not sure if that works and afraid it will cause problems and don't want to try it and seriously co aidering either getting a new motherboard or a different power supply

aslong as the polarity is correct it wont do any harm whatsoever
