So I'm trying to get my new PC all set up just the way I like it, however I'm starting to get very irritated. Here's what's going on. I have 1 small 256GB SSD drive for OS, and one larger HDD for all my mass storage. Essentially what I'm looking to do is move C:/Users to F:/Users (My mass storage partition of said HDD). I've been able to move the individual folders within C:/Users/MyNameHere.... but I'm left with those two folders sitting there doing nothing. I'm trying to keep this HDD as clean as possible for easy finds... the whole point of this new PC was more speed, not increased confusion.

Any help here is greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Rubberburner89

P.S. Running Windows 10

these last 2 folders, do you have "permission" to modify those? check in the security tab.

My Rig: | CPU: Core i7-8086k @ 4.9 GHz | Motherboard: Asus Rog Strix z370 | CPU Cooler: (some coolermaster one that probably should have been retired several years ago) | Case: Corsair 570x | GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 | RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro

Just a matter of PC cleanliness for me.... A little bit of OCD here.... it also means that every time I click on videos, or documents etc. it will show the parent folder to be C:/.... which isn't technically true.

Yes I did double and triple check that I have permission... it just says I can't move them... period.

Changing these settings (Windows 10 - recent releases) should get as close as possible to what you want

Which will create a \MyNameHere\ whatever directory in the new location.

The config is accessed from: Start Button -> Settings -> System -> Storage -> More Options: (change where content is saved)
