so here is my build. I had a 5k cap for money. its for 3D modeling and animation as well as gaming.

my color scheme is black red and white

any suggestions?

Looks great! only recommendation would be to get a cheaper gtx 1080, since a cheaper one will give you pretty much the same performance as the zotac one that you chose, since all 1080's will overclock to the the same frequency of around 2100 mhz.

getting the cheaper 1080 does not save me to much. I think the zotac will be best for speed, cooling, and color coordination.

There's no point to a 1080 unless you're trying to do 4k gaming

What's your display set up?

Also that board is horribly overpriced man, fairly capable Z170 board for less than half the price

And why not go X99?

Also you're going to want something like a 750W PSU most likely

@Streetguru I will have a ultra wide (around 34 inch) LG screen of some sort. 

I need the graphics power for faster rendering. I also would not mind 4K gaming and am looking at doing some VR.

The 1080ti is about to be announced, best to hold out for that if you can

Could always run with an 8GB 480 if you're worried about VRAM for the time being, also Vega should be around by then as well
