Help With My network

Hi i find my network is slow (file tranfer and internet usesge) is the any idea of what i could do to speed it up internet i get About 16mb i have 4 wired pcs and 1 wired xbox 360 and 3 wireless pc and 5 iphone/ipads and 1 xbox360 1 printer all wireless i would say high usage any help of anthink i could do a friend of mine said somthing anout a switch but im not to tec savy when it comes to networking thanks for any advice in advance and sorry for my noobie networking skills :)

You should use a router that had gigabit enthernet ports, if you can find one with 5 enthernet ports or more, the only one I currently know is the WD N900 i think, that would be more than enough for that amount of load
