Hi, im tossing up between getting a Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming which is $959 AUD vs Asus Strix gaming (not OC) which is $1029 AUD.

Theres like 70 dollars difference and im gonna be stripping them for watercooling anyways so is there a benefit to going the more expensive strix or not? i know that strix has an extra power connector for more juice but is it really needed?

Should be no difference, idk about the power connector and how much that'll affect overclocking but the main difference between different brands are comes.
