Upgrading Cooler Master 412S

Dear forum members,

Just throwing this out here, would it make sense replacing a Cooler Master 412S with a higher end cooling solution like a Noctua NH-D15 or Cryorig R1? And how much of a difference would it make. Currently I'm seeing over 82 degrees on a 4.3 GHz @ 1.25V overclock on my i5 4760k in benchmarking suites like Intel Burn Test, Prime95 etc.

I know the TIM under the IHS isn't optimal to say the least but would another cooler make much of a difference? And if how much?

Best regards,

Pezmerga

Moving from 120mm single tower to 140mm dual tower will make temps lower. Normal for D15 and such under stress is 68-75C, depending on volts and CPU. Ofc if you go for higher OC, temps will get higher accordingly.
