Creative Soundblaster x-fi problem

I have this sound card for a year now and didn't have any problems until now. When i watch some videos i get this constant ticking/distortion/noise. It doesn't happen on every vid, only on specific ones like this

When i switch to onboard everything is normal. I tried to change the pci slot, reinstalling drivers, new windows and nothing. I am thinking that its a driver/codec issue but it happens only on some vids on youtube (possibly .mp4/h264 vids).

Any suggestions?

I think I would say the dac doesn't know how to handle clipping well, but I could be wrong.

Will work for electronic components and parts

The X-Fi is a very picky card... I know, I had it... I suffered with it. Your issue is not new. It's VERY, but I mean VERY picky with hardware. And it does stuff like this, or continuous on anything you listen, or simply not work, or the sound card itself freezes, where you need to cut the power from the PSU completely, to remove any power from the motherboard feeding on the Sound card, and power it back up, as the ONLY way to fix it when it freezes. What I am saying is not exclusive to me, it's everywhere.

You can try the alternative drivers: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/pax-drivers/ (pick your card, and find the release thread, and the download for it will be there).
