so i have finally managed to find stable OC for my 6700K. but, is this 1,4V in bios and 1,416V in CPUz showing okay for everyday usage? maybe once or twice a weak i use CPU at full load

Depends if its stable. depends on the temperatures for daily use. The short answer would be "yes", but the higher your day-day voltage is, the lower its lifespan will be... but if you have proper cooling, it should be fine. what clocks are you managing to get with that?

Agree with above, it's pretty hard to determine what is safe without knowing the average core temperature under load.

Asus X99-A w/ BIOS 3402 | Intel i7 5820k OC @4.4GHz 1.28V w/ Noctua NH-U14S | 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 OC @2666MHz 12-14-14-28 | Asus Geforce GTX970 STRIX OC | EVGA 750 G2 750W | Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB | Windows 10 64-bit | Be-Quiet Silent Base 800 w/ Silent Wings | 2x Dell U2414H OC @72Hz w/ Display Port

Don't forget to invest in an Intel Tuning Plan if you're going to overvolt your K/X CPU

Mate i got a Pentium here with 1.78V being shoved into it so im sure 1.4V is safe for your 6700K

I'm pretty sure that Pentium wont be alive for much longer c:

yeah it's safe if you plan to replace the CPU next year..

1.4V is generally regarded as the highest safe voltage for 24/7 on Skylake. Doesn't stop anyone going higher for a quick benchmarking run though :P

yea, but 1,4V is the highest i would go :P

i want 4,7GHz. i know i'm not so lucky with silicon lottery :P

Just being curious at this point. I have overclocked my i7-4790K to 4.8GHz at 1.300V. When this CPU came out 1.300V was considered the highest save voltage for Haswell. Should't Skylake be even more fragile that Haswell? I assume 1.400V are too high for 24/7 useage then. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe I can oivercklocj even farther then.

[never touch a running system]
