those are usually 12V because LED strips are usually 12V.
But if you don't plug a 12v but a 5 adapter in to it, it will work if that's enough for the controller to turn on, and I don't know if it will.

I make Rainmeter things and other art :D

This is the LED strip that I have. But what about this controller? If that doesn`t work I will probably need to buy a new one with controller. What do you think of this one? Will it be okay for PC? Any other recommendation?

One more question:

when I turn off computer LED strip is still ON. Why is that?

That unit has a built in inline controller so you won't require one however I would make sure you are not overloading your USB port if you have a very long LED strip since most can only provide a max of 1Amp.

How to know is USB port overloaded? Yes I have inline controller but I want remote controller. I will first buy that LED controller than I will see will it work.

You must get a 5V based LED type controller the 12V ones linked will not work. As for the load a single SMD 5050 LED chip used 0.24W so for a 5V supply at 1 amp that can provide a max of 5W you don't want more than 20 LED chips for the entire length of the strip.

You mean linked controller from ebay or gearbest? I already ordered that from gearbest. In item description for voltage says 5v-24v...

Oh ok that one should work then.
