Alright, I'm working with an older build.

ASUS Sabertooth Z77
I5-3570k @ stock
Corsair vengeance (2x4)8gb @1600
EVGA GTX 770sc
Seasonic G 650w

I just changed The CPU to the 3770k and the memory light came on. Ram slots 3,4 are no longer working but 1,2 are fine. Tried both sticks to make sure the sticks weren't bad. They both worked on slots 1,2 but not 3,4.

So I reverted back to the i5 and they seemed to work again. For a solid 30-45 minutes everything went fine but as soon as I got into a game, the system froze, restarted, froze, then failed to reboot with the recurring red memory light.

The board worked perfectly the last time I used the PC about 5 days ago.(vacation for holidays).

I'm not sure what do or how to fix the problem. I'm hoping the board is ok because finding a board that old would be a pain I'm sure.

Any insight to the matter would be greatly appreciated. They're may be another thread about this but I was in a hurry and didn't feel like searching. Thanks for any help in advance.

Also, I've reset the CMOS by the jumper and now the PC only turns on when the jumper is disconnected and not when I reconnect it.
