Trouble Booting

I just finished building my brand new computer. Everything is working fine but I cannot get into the bios. I have not configured it yet because when I turn on the computer it says "Reboot and Select proper Boot device". I have tried rebooting with no luck. This is a brand new computer so both the HDD and SSD are empty. I have not installed windows 10 yet. Does anyone know how I can get into the bios settings?

You need an os to boot into the bios (aka windows 10)

no you do not need Windows to access BIOS

What do you need BIOS for? Did pressing the usual key like ESC, DEL, and some F keys like F2, F6 or fsomething work?

Thanks. Tried installing windows already but no luck. Same screen reappears

I haven't configured the BIOS yet so was trying to do that. Yes I did try those keys but nothing happened

You should be able to boot into the bios even without a drive hooked up.

check your power and data cables to both the motherboard and on the drives. reset cmos. start computer and spam the del key.

don't hook a usb drive to the computer.

how do I reset cmos.  I have not jumper

What motherboard do you have???  You can just remove the button battery for 2 minutes and replace it.

Same as mine.  I think you must hold down either the delete key or f1 to boot into the bios.

breadboard the system. the board may be shorting out on the case or the motherboard may be bad.

also, list power supply make and model.

Change keyboard to USB2 port if you have one. If not, try different ports until you find working one. If you have Windows installed properly, you should be able to choose it from listing shown with that error.
