Which power cable

So I was planning on buying the samsung 850 evo and was wondering which power cable I need for it or if I can use the one from my current hdd.

If it's a newer HDD that uses SATA power connectors and not molex connectors, yes.

Sata power is Sata power...so is it sata or molex?

could someone link a cable from amazon. I see that theres a different number of pins.... even though theyre all sata

You need SATA DATA and Sata power (Sata power comes with PSU)

Samsung EVO doesn't use molex

A SATA connector has 2 parts.

 

One part is the data part (the smaller part, left on the image)

 

 

The other part, the larger part is the sata power, if it fits on that its the right thing
