Got a new hdd for christmas and it turns out it has more cache than the one i have in my pc rn. They both are 7200 rpm. Im wondering if its faster than the one i have right now, mine is 16 mb cache while the one i just got is 64 mb cache.

It stores frequently used data so it can be accessed faster.

You would be better off using an SSD for that because the payoff from changing it will be little.
