I don't always understand the differences between for example an "NVIDIA GTX 1060" and an "MSI GAMING GeForce GTX 1060" I am fairly new to pc building and need this to be explained! Thx

So the Nvidia card would be called a reference card, or the card that is from the original developers, and usually has a blower style fan and would have lower clock speeds and locked temps and fan speeds.  A 3rd party, msi for instance, can take the nvidia 1060's architecture (processing chip) and use different coolers or other things to get higher clock speeds.  If you are an nvidia or amd fanboy/girl then who cares what you think but if you are a pc gamer then you will go for the 3rd party cards.  Also, in tight cases, people will use the reference cards so their cards do not throttle because of the air flow block.  In this case, a 3rd party card is better.
