Think I disabled new GPU

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

This would of just uninstalled all of the drivers. The GPU is fine but you just need to install the drivers now.

Merry Christmas! I recently installed my Gigabyte 1060, and as soon as I booted up my PC, I booted up DDU. I selected the option of "Clean and Shutdown" because it said it was for installing new graphics cards. I think DDU might have disabled the 1060 and I don't know how to undo it. A little help would be useful. Thanks!

Okay! I wasn't sure because it wasn't popping up in anything like HWMonitor or Device Manager, and also my second monitor (Which uses HDMI) isn't displaying. WIll the second monitor come back on after I install the drivers?

Yeah you just have to reinstall the drivers for your 1060. What happens is the driver is the thing that tells your system how to use your GPU to it's full potential so when you ran DDU and removed the drivers, your system knows it's here but cannot use it.

Ahh, gotcha. Thanks for the explanation!

One of the reason it may of not been showing up in device manager or HWMonitor was because it had no drivers for it and it used the basic windows driver which wouldn't have the GPU under the name "GTX 1060". Same reason why it wasn't using the second monitor. Glad it all fixed now though.
