Magnetic screwdriver

Has anyone else's magnetic screwdriver stop working before, because today i tried to use it and its not magnetic anymore. Has this happen to you?

permanent magnets become weaker over time, so it depends on how long you have had it. I think i have gone through at least 6 magnetic screwdrivers.

Did it get really hot?

 

If it's not magnetic, you can usually magnetize it (at least a little) by running a strong magnet along the blade a few times.

Whenever my screwdriver(s) get demagnetized beyond a certain point, I just play around the magnet of an old 12" Kicker subwoofer I have laying around with them

magnets in hard drives are also very strong

true but the ease of accessibility to them is the issue haha

I mean if you have a useless or broken one lying around
