Case Airflow recommendation

Go to solution Solved by iRileyx,

C would be the ideal one so that its a neutral airflow inside the case

A and D wouldn't be very good as having an intake right next to an exhaust on the same panel would cause turbulence and maybe cause a hot spot

I recently got 2 replacement fans for one of the stock fans that started making this grinding noise, I wanted to ask if anybody got a good recommendation to get the air moving in and out efficiently

I noticed my CPU temps are 2-3 degrees lower with the side panel open, which probably leads me to believe there is lot more warm air inside.

Fan placement is at the top

I got a little carried away making the image above, the choices are labeled with letters so I can add a poll, as more people would be happier to just press a single button to choose :) though I would love to read your reasoning for your choice.

What do them arrows in your pic mean?!? Case arrows are in an horizontal plane, them choises are vertical. Please fix tis. (and maybe use colours)

He is talking about his fans on top. He wants to know which direction he two top fans should push.

Could B work if he uses a reference GPU? It would be working as an exhauster.

Possibly, but the air being drawn in from the top could end up being pushed out the back by the flow from the front fans before getting chance to reach the gpu.

Not entirely sure, would have to get some incense sticks and test it out :P

Then C is the way to go, so the hot air made by the GPU that is released inside the case is taken out.
