So, hello guys, i've recently built a new system based on gigabyte z170xp-sli and i5 6600k. Everything works fine i installed windows on ssd and turned the pc on as usual.

The problem that i have is that when i plug my ethernet jack physically to pc internets speed drops to 0 kb/s like in 5 seconds and it cuts off my ethernet. I have an old pc were i re plug the same jack and it works on it as usual.

Thanks ahead ;)

Is the cable loose or the connections?

As i mentioned there is no problem with cable, i replug it to old pc and it works. On new pc when i plug it it see as if ethernet is OK but speed drops down. Can it be a windows problem or motherboard?

Do you have drivers installed? If not install drivers from manufacturer's website.

Firstly i install drivers from website they did not work. Therefore i tried drivers from CD and did an express install of all drivers. It didnt work as well. When i enter ethernet properties in device manager it says that connection is ok 100mbit connection.

In this case there is problem with your computer. Do you have firewall or anything that could stop connection? For an example my antivirus was blocking access to network in my case.

Thanks very much for help, everybody ;)

I fixed the problem.

Routers ip address and the ipv4 address of my pc didn't coinside, did a little tweaking in routers setting and thats it.
