I'm trying to capture analog signal (Composite/Component/sVideo) and record it onto my computer. I have used two cheaper options (DiamondMM, and Elgato Video) and have been overwhelmed by there poor quality, and tendancy to not work. So, right now im comparing the  Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle and the Blackmagic Pro 4k. I simply wasn't the best option for the price, so if anyone has a better idea, please share. I do not plan on capturing anything else anytime soon, but I would certainly try it if I had the ability too.

Thanks :D

hello again.

Personally Ive used the HDPVR 2 gaming without issue. does hdmi and component, and composite if you hook the yellow cable to the blue component from the pvr.

Not me but explains the process in the first minute.

How do you think it will compare with the pcie one? Should I be concered about quality, or the gamming branding as I am not using this to capture gameplay? Can you use it in OBS?

I comes with its own software that works with anything. And its an extremely popular item so there are a lot of guides and help for it online. Id recommend it over anything else if you want something not too frustrating to capture on PC.

It does work with obs but I only tried it to see, so i cant say how well it works. But the included software does everything youd need it to.

Is it USB 3.0? Do you have experience with any other capture cards you could compare it too? I want to make sure i'm getting something better than what I have, and just as good, or worth the price difference compared to the brand name black magic ones.

Ive used elgato products before, though not the one you had, and a cheapy one from amazon. the pvr was the easiest to use. And if you buy it used that its a great price.

There are like 4 different options on amazon, which one is the one you are recommending: https://www.amazon.com/Hauppauge-1512-Definition-Personal-Technology/dp/B00BQ7KICQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482280768&sr=8-2&keywords=HD%2BPVR2&th=1
