First of all, sorry i don't know where this post belongs :3

Hey guys, I have this problem with my computer, that every time I open MSI afterburner its freeze my whole computer? I've tried to reinstall windows 10 with USB, I've tried taking the graphics card's out and in, I've tried an older version of MSI Afterburner, and that didn't work too... Does anyone know why?? :(( I hope you can help me!

All my specs is here: https://gyazo.com/e96b7255a05e3ca259f177b6c5b85758

What i've triad.

Reinstalling windows 100%

Running MSI afterburner as admin

Takeing out my graphic cards

Trying one graphic only

Trying one card only in slot 2

Trying one ram in slot 1 only

Trying one ram in slot 2 only

Tryed disable virus program while opening the apps

Other graphic drivers

Updateing Bios on my motherboard

Note!: I have windows 10 Home NOT windows 8.1

Can it be my RAM??

Or can it be my SSD? - Here you can see a wired jump from 0-3% to 30%? https://gyazo.com/bc2a672b629e7cc8a8b47bf622d9965d

Or just any suggestions? :)

Thanks for the help! - Gombel :)

Merry christmas and happy new year :)

Happy new year 1st of all ?

regarding ur issue , does ur pc freeze at anything else ?

freezing is could mean a ram (either Bsods or freezes , it depends ) or

display driver crashing ( usually gives an error message ) .

 - Make sure u restore factory defaults on the driver settings

- try a different Os version ( 8.1 for example )

- Download memtest and put it on a bootable usb and test ur ram

Keep us updated , good luck

I know its 1 1st xD But i wish you a happy new year**

Alright, My pc freeze 100%, i cant even move the mouse or open task manager..

How do i restore the driver settings on my driver? The only change i made was enable crossfire ( It happens even without crossfire )

Do i really need to try 8.1? Is it really needed?

What is a memtest? :3 xD

Thnks for responding! :D - I really appreciated your reply

Uninstall afterburner? Maybe try a different program to see if you accidentally over locked super high by accident and is causing crashes. IDK

I can see in AMD settings that i didn't overclock.. :/ And ASUS Tweak crashes sometimes too. And like 1/20 times crashes HWmonitor, GPU-Z and CPU-Z

Since u are crashing with multiple softwares i suggest u test ur ram ,

to do it ,

  • Download memtest64 ( google it , should be the 1st result )
  • Put it on a bootable use ( the software comes with a tool that does everything for u )
  • restart and boot from the usb and the application will start

its very easy to use , just pick the regular test and it will display error count as it progresses through the test  , this might take and hour or more depending on how much ram u got .

The second thing u are ought to try is to make a small partition

( right click my computer > manage > disk management > right click any partition with free space > shrink volume { now u subtract some space from it so u can later use it for ur new partition } > right click the free space (everything will be displayed in rectangles ) > create new volume > keep  everything as it is > done

now install windows 8.1 on this partition and load it with drivers and test ( your win 10 will remain untouched , it will let u pick the os u want in the boot screen )

You can check out youtube tutorials if u somehow get lost
