Planning to build my first computer and I want to know if I did good on the planning side of things. Since the 1080 Ti was just confirmed I might wait and pick that up but till that time comes, 1080 is the choice. I think going after a X99 build will benefit me the most because I do a lot of video editing and going to start to enter the whole 3d rendering world. Also this will be my gaming PC as well.

Here's my list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/iamglueazy/saved/4cmD3C

Budget: USD $2000-$2200

Not sure what key features I should be looking at when it comes to the mobo. As of right now I will be doing a single monitor setup but soon two monitors. My sweet spot for my eyes is 27in screens I can't do anything bigger for editing. So I might pick up the Dell Ultra HD 4k Monitor P2715Q but I'm open for suggestions. For my second monitor I will want something with ips panel and 144hz. Maybe a ASUS MG279Q since I don't care about freesync/g-sync that much. Please help me out. Thanks

You probably need more RAM seeing the road you want to head down with this build. 32 or even 64 for those rendering times.

Best regards, Mikkel
