So I've got a big upgrade planned. Once Zen is released, I want to get a new CPU and case for sure. I have a Z97 ATX board right now so that I can upgrade right to a 4790K without needing to swap platforms, however recently I've decided that I really want to change out the case for something smaller and more portable than my C70. So here's my question: What are the smallest ATX cases? Because like I said though I do want a smaller case, I'd rather not have to buy a new motherboard. Though if I did, I'd probably go for a midrange overclockable chip to go along with it (i5 7600K or Zen equivalent most likely).

So: If there aren't any ATX cases that much smaller than mine, are there any good matx cases you could recommend? I want to upgrade to an H100i or X62 with the new CPU, so I'd like to support that 240 rad if possible. I don't want to go ITX just 'cause I value more than 1 PCIe slot and 2 RAM slots.

Probably not as small as you'd like but there's the nzxt s340 and Phanteks p400. I've been watching for the p400 tempered glass model to release, it looks great. I don't know how much smaller you can get with a 240 rad unless you get a cube type like the corsair air 240.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't spring for a cube. Hmm I may just have to compromise a bit on the rad size it seems.

I'd look into it further, maybe there's something smaller that will fit a 240. I only say this because 120-140 rad's are notoriously bad from my experience.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, at that point I may just do a bigger air cooler instead.

Ooo, Define C is definitely on the list for matx now.

That's the Define Mini C. Define C is ATX.
