My computer doesn't keep the time and date whenever I set it to the correct timezone or input manually. The computer also reboots for no reason around 1/3rd of the time I shut it down. Any suggestions please! Thanks.

Might be a battery problem (had a similar problem on my Surface when the battery was dying)shit you're on a desktop. Sounds like a PSU problem

The PSU is fairly new probably around a year old and I remember having this issue even before I got this new one. I was just to lazy back then to see what the problem was

You can try resetting the CMOS to see if it's a motherboard problem (look in your manual for the jumper)

Its more likely the cmos battery has runs out try replacing it.

As for the other problem.. i have no idea because u need to troubleshoot it one by one.

I reset the time in the BIOS and I think i properly reseted the CMOS,  The time seems to be staying the same but why would the time have changed in the first place in the bios?

the CMOS is like the motherboard's memory, if it dies then the motherboard reverts to default settings.

Does this mean that it might still cause me problems and is likely the reason this happened?

Thats why u need to change the CMOS battery because without that your BIOS settings will never be saved.

although i dont know if thats the problem. but yes it will save the bios settings including times and dates.
