Hello,

I'm currently working on my build and I was not really liking the fact that I could see my ugly basement cable mess that was coming straight out of the PSU. I have fashioned a makeshift cable shroud out of an old cardboard box (see below), but I would like to make something (or get something made for me) that is more permanent out of metal. The case I'm using is the CaseLabs Mercury S8 and is made out of aluminum and I would like to have the shroud made out of aluminum as well to keep everything consistent. I am going to upgrade to a custom water cooling loop in the future, but that shouldn't affect the shroud in any way, I don't think.

I am wondering if anybody knows where I can go, (preferably online, but I'm not limiting myself to that) to get something like this made. Or is it easier just to get some aluminum and do it myself. I don't have any major tools to work with, but I'm not opposed to getting any as I would like to do more modding on my own in the future and they come in handy. Additionally, if anyone has any ideas for something to put on the side of the shroud as it looks pretty bland right now, I am open to suggestions.

Any help with this would be awesome. Or if I'm going in the completely wrong direction with this and there is already something made that would fit my purpose.

Check with your local metal suppliers, there's one near me that will do custom size pieces for $1 per cut.

For tools, if you have a drill and a Dremel you can do almost anything.  Like for the wire cutout you could use a 1" hole saw in the drill to make two holes and then use a cutoff wheel in the Dremel to connect the two holes and end up with a perfect oval opening.
