Well 1070 is a card designed for 1080p 144hz or 1440p. And your cpu will struggle to keep up at 1080p if you start exceeding 75-90fps, at least in the more cpu heavy games liuke GTA V. And buying a 1070 is a waste of money for 1080p 60fps.

If you want to play maxed out games at 1080p 60fps you should opt out for rx 480 8gb or 1060 gb. In any case your CPU is a bit outdated to be paired up with 1070 in any other games than just pure GPU heavy loads.

ok thanks for the help. ill look into those then =]

I suggest you go for an aftermarket 1070 because plainly: the cooling in the founder's editions is absolute $#1T

i was planning on getting this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127947

Considering the card is longger than your Mobo, you need to take the case into account also. What's your case and what's your PSU? Also at what resolution are you going to play as well as what's your cpu.

There might be better/cheaper options for your needs than a 1070.

CPU: i5 6600k @4.5GHz | GPU Zotac Amp! 1070 | RAM: Corsair vengeance 16gb | Storage: Corsair Force LE 240gb +480gb | Case: Corsair Carbide Clear C400 | PSU: Corsair RM650x | Cooler: H110i GTX

i already changed the power supply out for an evga supernova 650 g2 80 plus gold, cpu is an amd fx-8320 8 core. i pre-measured the 11 inches and it should fit in my case. resolution wise 1920x1080 but i can go up to 2715x1527
