Ok so I have this old 2tb HP external hard drive that transfers data using fire wire and is powered via ac, When I plug it into my computer, nothing shows up in my devices and drives, I tried checking the device manager and detects it but i can't access the storage. In devices and printers it says HP Personal Media Drive, but still cant access files, I troubleshoot the drive and it says "USB Mass Storage Device is an older USB device and might not work with USB 3.0, I check my motherboard manual, plug it into my USB 2.0 port and still says the same thing. I've tried uninstalling the drivers, restarting, and when I check it says they're fully updated but still can't figure out why I can't access the files. Heres the drive: https://www.amazon.com/HP-HD20000z-Personal-Media-Drive/dp/B003Y5AN8M

Does it click over and over? If not, the drive may still be alive so I'd open it up if so and try connecting from drive to mobo

What do you mean by clicking? If you mean by noises then theres a faint purr but definantly sounds like the disk is in tact
