Is it worth replacing the stock fan on a 212+? I would like quieter but I do not want to sacrifice performance. The stock fan gets to about 70%ish at the max. If it is worth it, what fan should I get?

Well there has been reports of coil whine on those fans but it's good to replace fans. If anything, I woulde go for Noiseblocker E-Loops, NF-F12s, Bitfenix Spectre Pros, or some Phantek fan.

Buy new cooler. If you get two fans then it would cost the same as a new one. Get something like a Dark Rock 2 Pro or Shadow.

I have no need for a better cooler. I max at 57c @ 4.3. I only wanna get one fan cuz I do not have mounting for 2.

My hyper 212 has an alright stock fan. I still use it. The fan can get pretty loud but it can also get extremely quiet in fact sometimes it runs at 300RPM and its so quiet the other fans in my system are much much louder compared to it. So unless you are serious about the best performance or the quietest fan don't bother because the stock one is fine.

Oh the classic NF-F12s lol. I will look into the fans.

Yeah it does not bother me too much. But it is the loudest one in my computer I think.

Corsair SP 120, E Loop, NF-F12, or Noise Blockers then.

Alright sounds good! Like I said earlier I will look at all of them.

I would say that if you let the cpu get about 10c hotter the fans will quiet down a massive amount. And they still wouldn't be getting dangerously hot.

My rig: 2600k(4.2 GHz) w/ Cooler Master hyper 212+, Gigabyte Z68-UD3H-B3, Powercolor 7870 xt(1100/1500) w/AIO mod,

8GB DDR3 1600, 120GB Kingston HyperX 3K SSD, 1TB Seagate, Antec earthwatts 430, NZXT H2

Verified max overclock, just for kicks: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2609399

Well I just like have cool components. Just how I am. I know I can set the temp regulation in the Bios to be lower but I like being under 60c.

They're quite expensive. There are cheaper fans that would do the trick.

Where are you shopping/located?
