Using W7 on W10 native computer

Hello,

I am thinking of getting a dell XPS 13 for the Christmas but I really dislike that they are shipped with w10. anyways I plan to put my own 1TB ssd into it and plan to plant w7 on it. The dell xps13 however, doesn't ship with drivers for w7, only w10.

Anyone here has an experience with putting w10 drivers on w7? Will it work? Will it require something else?

Here are all the link btw:

The Dell XPS 13 I want to buy: http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/xps-13-9360-laptop/fncwt5135hv2?selectionState=eyJGUHJpY2UiOjEwODkuOTgsIk9DIjoiZm5jd3Q1MTM1aHYyIiwiUXR5IjoxLCJNb2RzIjpbeyJJZCI6MzgwLCJPcHRzIjpbeyJJZCI6IlJPU0UiLCJQcmljZSI6NTAuMH1dfSx7IklkIjoxNDYsIk9wdHMiOlt7IklkIjoiNVJXVFBHIiwiUHJpY2UiOjE1MC4wfV19LHsiSWQiOjc2MCwiT3B0cyI6W3siSWQiOiJGSEROVEdEIn1dfSx7IklkIjo1NzIsIk9wdHMiOlt7IklkIjoiRkcwMDQzIn1dfSx7IklkIjo3MDA0LCJPcHRzIjpbeyJJZCI6IjQ2MC1CQllPIiwiUHJpY2UiOjQ5Ljk5fV19XX0%3D

Dell drivers website for said XPS: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/xps-13-9360-laptop/drivers

SSD I intend to put inside: http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=125373

W7 will be ultimate x64 edition.

I want to run w7 natively, not some dual boot or VM solution. Thanks in advance

The Win10 drivers won't work for Win7. Some can, but very certainly not all of them. It's been a huge pain in the ass all along. You may be able to source Win7 drivers elsewhere. realtek.com.tw for audio, intel.com for chipset and so on. But there are no guarantees as it's best explained at https://www.qualcomm.com/drivers Even if you get them all, updates can fuck shit up later down the line.

For any sort of guarantee, I hope you get into talks with someone who has the exact model you're planning to buy. "Yeah, it worked fine for my random Lenovo!" is worth exactly jack.

i would really advice against it, windows 10 drivers work quite different from windows 7 drivers, thats exactly why so many pc's broke when they upgraded to 10.

I think I can get the win7 installed on it and it should probably run without any drivers although things like audio etc may fuck up. I may just try and see if windows update will supply any drivers or if anything malfunctions.

The vendor offers me 2 weeks return policy so I may just hope that everything like win update and so on will go through in that time period. As far as it goes for the disk drive, how would you recommend me to install it? Just put it inside the notebook and boot from flash onto it and install like any other? I see you guys comment about MBR etc, so can you give me a little more detailed info on how to proceed? I know that I will have to change bios boot to legacy etc, but I wonder if there are some special preparations to be done with the ssd itself?

Thanks in advance
