Sure, if you've got the ram clearance, it's a very pretty air cooler.

Check the ram height versus the product spec sheet before you buy.

Hey,

Im going to buy the i5 6600k.

Id like to overclock it, So ill also need cooling.

I think that the best option will be watercooling.

I just dont know what model? I prefer corsair.

My case: corsair 400 c. will the H60 be enough? Or the H80i v2?

Ive really no idea which one

Any suggestions?

For my own experience I've had two asetek units fail in two years. If you want an AIO I'd recomend swiftech. If your don't need an AIO, the purerock I pick up to replace the second pump corsair has refused to RMA in two years is working brilliantly as long as I don't push the button for my OC.

sure, be aware that the 14nm cpu don't overclock much before you get electron drift, so you really don't need a serious cpu cooler to keep them under control. my 5960x really does need a 300W cooler when I overclock it. A 6700K can get away with 150W under max overclock whick drops it squarely into the realm of decent smaller air coolers. ( pure rock I'm using currently is rated at 150W with only one fan)

Ok, ty! But you're 100% sure that Ill be better off with a swiftech than for example corsair? :)

in the long run, yes. swiftech tend to use laine DC5 pumps which are the industry standard for enthusiast water cooling loops, most others use the asetek on block crap, which I've found unreliable.

Please note this is just from personal experience. I might have been terribly unlucky, and gotten two bad pumps, and two service reps who were complete and utter dicks.

The 6700K can use more than 150W when heavily oc'd. Would recommend a air cooler over an aio though, because of noise and pump failure.

Me. I'm using a pure rock on my 5960x, that puts out one hell of a lot more heat, and it's handling it even under load. I refuse to run my OC, as it came pretty close to maxing out the 300W h110I I had when it was working properly.
