Are you sure? it overclocked fine the first time lol

I'm pretty sure about it, I think the software cannot read the overclocking settings, which is why it says "0000.0 MHz". I don't think the overclock itself is the issue.

I googled a bit and it seems like this is a pretty common problem. Are you using "system tweaking" tools or crap like that (except CCleaner, this is the only one I recommend)?

Uninstall the complete AI Suite, then use this: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?34503-AI-Suite-III-Cleaner to clean up everything, and then reinstall AI Suite again. Maybe it will delete your overclocking settings, I'm not sure.

I was thinking about doing that but honestly, 4.0 GHz is fine. I just wanted to see what's the max I can do before it crashes. It's stable @ 4 ghz and temp is 29 c so ill call that a win 4 me

Please do not use automatic oc softwares. They use far too high voltage and can lead to crashes.

Jayztwocents tried it once and it went all the way up to 6Ghz on his 6950x and crashed.

Spend some time to manually oc it. You may even get it up to 4.5Ghz.
