Ip Adress Problems

When i find out someones ip adress, it always is my ip adress or the location just dosent add up.

Any help?

I use a gmail thing, when someone loads that link or clicks on it that ip is sent to my inbox. Then, when i put it into a google map translator it just does not add up. Also, sometimes the ip is the exact same ip as me. Could you suggest a way i can get ips and translate them? A new way?

Yeah, IP addresses rarely correspond to the real-life location. When I try to geolocate my IP address it points to my ISP's Point of Presence (POP) - which is located in a major telecommunications exchange about 1000km away where my internet service hops from a Layer 2 Ethernet link onto their IP network.

An IP address or physical home address from an IP address

Win+R>cmd> ping 127.0.0.1 -t> let it run, may take a while but it will give you the IP of all the PC's withing 20 miles of your house

Not possible, that's what GPS is for. You can't even pinpoint an IP address to a person correctly, let alone tell you their location accurately. Unless you convince ISPs to literally hand out their DNS to customer mapping and even then it's still going to be hard.

P.S. Finding someones physical address from an IP isn't white hat hacking it's more stalking

Its not stalking, what if the person i am ''stalking'' has a underground torture chamber and i need

that location to send them to jail?

Then report it to the police, they are able to get the person's address from their IP using a warrant and contacting the ISP. You cannot.

There is no way to get a person's address just from their IP address via "white hat" methods unless you were able to cross check their IP with a database dump somewhere that also included their address (unlikely). Your only options are illegal and, no offense, but if you're getting your own IP address instead of your target's then I would just quit now before you get yourself into serious trouble since ti's apparent you're already in way over your head.
