For years now I've had a Logitech G13 and a Logitech gaming mouse

Programmable g keys up the wazoo

As an adult with less and less time available I find that now I just want to be able to sit down to play a game. My latest rig is all about reliability and ease of use, no fancy configuration needed. Simple, quality performance.

No I think it's time to do the same with the peripherals but i'm having a hard time deciding. I think the 2013 Deathadder will be the mouse I go with (while not truely PnP, the mouse can be programmed once and then used as PnP without software from there on)

What I'm looking for is a 5 button or less mouse with no software required to use it and a plug and play keyboard. (I'm a fan of mechanicals and I also liek to have a numpad) currently using a Mionix but it's been unreliable and I find that the black switches can be a bit heavy for extended gaming.

The main concern is quality. I don't want to be replacing them every six months.

So what have you guys had great success with?

if you're looking for quality and reliability forget razer.

for keyboards, I've heard good things from filco and ducky, and I have had good experience with 2 leopolds from elitekeyboards.

Will work for electronic components and parts

Filco was at the top of my list. I've looked at Leopold and others as well but they seem to be tricky/expensive to get in to Canada.

The only reason the Razer is the current top pick for mouse is quite simply because I'me having a hard time finding a decent 5-button or fewer mouse.

I'm looking at Steelseries as well but they seem to be on a massive ambidextrous kick so they've all got 7+ buttons.
