Everything else looks fine, but I don't understand why you're blowing 3x amount of money on the motherboard (Z170) compared to your case and you're getting a Z mobo with a non-overclockable processor.

If the mobo is aesthetically the one you absolutely want, ok, but you should consider getting 6600k or i7 6700k as your processor. From 6600 to 6600k is only 4$ delta, so there's no reason to get the 6600 even if you never plan on overclocking. And If you find the courage to do it, you have the possibility without any fear or BIOS updates breaking your locked CPU overclocks.

And if you plan on playing some higher framerates than 1080p 60, you should probably go for the i7 6700k and take a few bucks away from your motherboard.

Here's the components I would consider changing into:

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32843/intel-core-i5-6600k

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32844/intel-core-i7-6700k

For mobo, if it's a must to have ROG board, then get the cheapest one from their catalogue:

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32857/asus-maximus-viii-ranger-motherboard

Or if it should be red themed ASUS board then:

https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32839/asus-z170-pro-gaming-motherboard

If you never plan on overclocking, don't get a Z board, unless there is some feature you must have. Most of which can be usually found in H or B boards anyway.

As for the i5 6400, don't bother with that paired with a 1070. Games are demanding more and more from the processor, and if you play 1440p or 1080p the 1070 will be limited by your processor. Always try to pair your components considering the factors:

Your needs--> resolution and framerate

Your games --> cpu heavy, gpu heavy or balanced

1060 with i5 6600k for 1080p is a good perfect combo. Even up to 100hz gameplay or depending on the game up to 144hz.

I think you have so much CPU for that GPU. If your budget is enough, i would go for the i5 6400 and a good deal on the gtx 1070.

Nah the lowest price for a 1070 was $600 and the 6400 was only $60 cheaper. I see your point but I am thinking of upgrading the GPU further down the line.
